Our History History

Phoenix Hull Limited was formed in October 2002 by two partners with proven engineering and business expertise as an engineering subcontract company primary providing security screens to the banking sector.

In 2003 we were accredited to ISO 9000 by Lloyds Register and have continued to develop both the processes and practices employed throughout the business.  As such our November 2009 visit saw the scope of approval expanded yet again and now incorporates all aspects of the services we provide

During this period the company has continued to grow slowly but deliberately with new customers added to our portfolio secure in the knowledge that we had the workforce, capability and capacity to ensure that both parties would benefit from the relationship. We have now built up a wide core customer base of local, national and indeed international companies whom we are still working with to this day.

Our drive for growth continued across the business and in 2007 the latest Bystronic Laser and Pressbrake were acquired to further enhance our reputation for quality and service of engineering manufactured products

We continue to support our commitment to technology and have recently linked our latest design software packages (Autodesk Inventor and Bybend) used to convert customer designs in working manufacturing drawing, direct to both the laser and pressbrake.

Our business is all built around the customer's needs, from quick quote response through to delivering on time, which has enabled us to maintain a loyal customer base. We are engineers not marketeers and have done very little advertising to date; therefore most of our new customers have been won by word of mouth. We do realise that in today's climate, and in order to continue growing, we must now pay attention to getting our company known. Our website is therefore our first step along this path with a much more focus view on marketing ourselves, but we will not lose sight of what the customer's needs, which is 'a value for money quality service'.
